The record

Wikipedia's Tucker article, citing Lucas's history of the 1821 lottery and local histories, says the area was Militia District 572 of Henry County in 1821 and became Browning's District when DeKalb was created on December 9, 1822, reportedly named for Andrew Browning. Rehoboth Baptist Church, an early Tucker-area congregation, was established in 1854 (Wikipedia). On July 18, 1864, Logan's Federal corps detoured here to support Garrard's cavalry raid on the Georgia Railroad at Stone Mountain (GHS).

Today: LaVista Rd and Fellowship Rd in Tucker.
