Tullie Smith farmhouse (c. 1840)
A farmhouse built by Robert and Elizabeth Smith that stood for more than a century on today's North Druid Hills Road in DeKalb. Between 11 and 19 enslaved people lived and worked on the farm at any one time.
The record
The Atlanta History Center says the enslaved workers raised cotton, butter, honey, oats, hogs, cattle and sheep on the 600-acre farm; Wikipedia gives 800 acres. Wikipedia dates the house to about 1840 (its infobox says 1835) and the History Center's captions to about 1845. The house was donated in 1969, moved in two pieces beginning in 1971 and opened at the History Center on April 10, 1972; it was listed on the National Register in 1970.
