The record

The March 15, 1960 sit-ins began at 11 a.m. About 200 students targeted ten lunch counters and cafeterias, including those at Atlanta City Hall, the Fulton County Courthouse, the State Capitol and Terminal Station, and 77 were arrested (Wikipedia; NGE). Charles Black and A. D. King, Martin Luther King Jr.'s brother, led the group at Terminal Station. The station closed in 1970 and was razed in 1972.

Today: The Richard B. Russell Federal Building (1979) stands on the site.
