The record

Peachtree Rd was then a winding country road through woods largely owned by the Colliers. Walker's division attacked astride it against Newton's division, on a ridge about 200 yards north of Collier Rd. Stevens fell near the Collier house leading his Georgia brigade and died in Atlanta on July 25. The 1956 marker says 'killed', but the wound was mortal. The corner is fully developed (Piedmont Hospital area).
