Atlanta Rolling Mill

A rolling mill east of downtown, a landmark by 1864, stood where the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill later rose.

The record

The GHS 'Where Hood Watched' marker calls the Rolling Mill 'a notable landmark of this area' in 1864 and places it on the site of the cotton mill. An 1858 founding date (used in the project's existing timeline) and its 1864 destruction could not be verified from an accessible source in this research. The mill's founders and products are likewise not documented in the sources reached.

Today: Fulton Cotton Mill lofts, Cabbagetown.
