Henderson's Mill
A gristmill run before and after the war by Greenville Henderson (1792-1869) and his son Rufus (1823-1872). The flat on both sides of the road was its millpond.
The record
The mill was demolished in 1911 (GHS). Logan's Federal corps camped here on July 18, 1864, partly because water was scarce at Browning's Courthouse. USGS GNIS lists a Henderson Mill Creek in the area.
Today: Henderson Mill area of north-central DeKalb.
