Cleburne's and Maney's divisions deploy on Flat Shoals Rd

After the night march, Cleburne deployed on and east of Flat Shoals Rd and Maney west of it, in heavy woods, and advanced northwest.

The record

Hardee meant to hit McPherson's rear but struck the left flank of the XVII Corps where its line bent east. Their attack went in somewhat later than Walker's and Bate's, a mile east in the Sugar Creek valley. The area is residential Ormewood Park and East Atlanta.
