Brown's and Clayton's divisions step off
From the east line of the city works, eight small brigades of Brown's and Clayton's divisions attacked the XV Corps astride the Georgia Railroad.
The record
Brown's brigades were Manigault's, Sharp's, Coltart's and Benton's. Clayton's were Stovall's, Baker's, Gibson's and Holtzclaw's. They drove four Federal brigades from their works at and on each side of the railroad, at today's DeGress Ave. This is the moment shown in the Cyclorama.
